Helical gear pumps are positive displacement pumps. It consists of two moving parts. Suitable for medium and high viscosity liquids. For a more reliable and controlled fluid flow, the speed must be adjusted appropriately for high viscosity fluids.
The helical gear pump transmits the circular motion that the pump shaft receives from the motor to the rotating gear on the shaft. The gears are separated from each other and a vacuum is created while the rotating gear transmits its movement in the opposite direction to the driven gear.
With this vacuum, the pump absorbs some liquid and the liquid is pushed towards the discharge port. In the discharge mouth, the gears are intertwined and pressure is created. Thus, it allows the liquid to be thrown out. The pump transfers liquid as much as its volume.
